Terms & Conditions

By approving an estimate or allowing services to be performed, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.


1) Estimates & Approval

Approved Estimate

By approving your estimate with Guaranteed Gutters Inc., you agree to pay the amount shown on the estimate.

Estimate Date

The “Estimate Date” reflects the first time the estimate was sent (via email or postal mail).

If repairs are included in a Gutter Guard Estimate, the Gutter Guard Installation “Estimate Date” may differ from the Repair “Estimate Date.”


2) Scope of Work

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. will perform only the services specifically listed in the approved estimate. Any additional work not included in the original estimate must be approved by the customer and may result in additional charges.

Services performed do not include repair or correction of unrelated structural, roofing, drainage, or building issues unless specifically stated in writing.


3) Free Gutter Cleaning with a Gutter Guard Install

Scenario 1: Cleaning was already completed before the Gutter Guard estimate was sent

Your Gutter Cleaning invoice will be waived if the Gutter Guard estimate is accepted within 14 days after the Estimate Date.

Scenario 2: No gutter cleaning has been completed yet

We will complete your Free Gutter Cleaning during your Gutter Guard Installation service.


4) Service Scheduling, Postponements, or Removals

Weather-Related Postponements

Services are performed weather permitting. If rain, snow, wind, or extreme temperatures are in the forecast, services may be cancelled, delayed, or rescheduled at no fault of Guaranteed Gutters Inc.

Additional Reasons a Service May Be Postponed or Removed

  • Prior jobs taking longer than expected

  • Safety concerns

  • Locked gates

  • Pets outside

  • Circumstances requiring homeowner assistance

  • Neighbor access restrictions

  • Unsafe working conditions

  • Other unforeseen site conditions


5) Underground Drain Services

Limitation of Liability & Unforeseen Conditions

While we strive to perform all services with care and diligence, the client acknowledges that unforeseen issues may arise during the course of the work, including but not limited to:

  • Hidden damage

  • Structural defects

  • Pest infestations

  • Water intrusion

  • Underground pipe deterioration

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. shall not be held liable for any pre-existing conditions or damages discovered during or resulting from the service, including incidental or consequential damages.

The client understands that underground drainage work may reveal additional problems not visible prior to service.

Repairs to underlying drainage systems are not included unless separately agreed to in writing.

Any additional work required will be discussed and approved before proceeding.

Assumption of Risk

The client acknowledges that underground drainage systems are often concealed and may contain unknown conditions beyond the original scope of work.

Change Order Policy

Any additional work must be authorized and priced separately before proceeding.


6) Customer Cancellations

Service Cancellation by Customer

If you (or someone on your behalf) cancel service without 24-hour notice, a $50 cancellation fee will be billed and payment is required.


7) Payments & Late Fees

Payments

You agree to pay the amount shown on your invoice upon receiving your invoice.

Late Fees

A 5% late charge per month may be applied to unpaid balances after 30 days.


8) Project Approval, Deposits & Cancellation Policy

If a customer accepts an estimate and submits a deposit, the project is considered approved and may be scheduled for service.

Deposits are applied toward project preparation, scheduling, labor planning, and material procurement.

Right to Cancel (In-Home Sales Only)

For contracts signed at the customer’s home (door-to-door or in-home sales), customers have the right to cancel within three (3) business days as required under Illinois law.

If a cancellation is made within the legally required cancellation period and proper notice is provided, any payments made will be refunded in accordance with Illinois law.

Cancellations Outside of Legal Cancellation Period

If a project is canceled after the legal cancellation period, or if the agreement was not an in-home sale, the following terms apply:

  • If no materials have been ordered and no work has been performed, the deposit may be refunded.

  • If materials have been ordered, permits obtained, labor scheduled, or administrative work completed, Guaranteed Gutters Inc. may deduct actual costs incurred from the deposit.

  • Any remaining balance of the deposit, if applicable, will be refunded.

  • Custom or special-order materials may be non-refundable once ordered.

Work in Progress

If work has already begun prior to cancellation, the customer is responsible for payment of all work completed up to the cancellation date.

Cancellation Process

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or other documented communication.

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after cancellation review.


9) Warranty

A) Gutter Cleanings — 7 Day Limited No Clog Guarantee

If suggested repairs are recommended but not performed, Guaranteed Gutters Inc. assumes no responsibility for leaks or overflow not related to a clogged gutter.

Not covered:

  • Ice buildup

  • Roof leaks

  • Underground drainage systems


B) Maintenance Packages / Repairs — 1 Year Limited Workmanship

This warranty guarantees the work and materials used for the repair and the specific location detailed in the invoice.

Repair warranties apply only to the specific repair location and do not extend to other portions of the gutter system.

Coverage Exclusions and Limitations

All repair services and maintenance warranties are void if any of the following conditions occur:

  • Existing damages not repaired or unseen around the problem area

  • Structural settlement or building movement

  • Warping of roof or gutter structures

  • Vandalism

  • Hail

  • Fire

  • Tornado

  • Windstorm

  • Earthquakes

  • Lightning

  • Roof preservation coatings or treatments

  • Improper maintenance

  • Accidental damage

  • Acts of God

  • Misuse or abuse of materials

  • Impact of foreign objects

  • Failure to maintain gutters annually

Not covered:

  • Ice buildup

  • Icicles

  • Ice dams

  • Ice leaks

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. assumes no responsibility for issues related to snow, ice, or winter weather damage.


C) Gutter, Soffit & Fascia Installations

5 Year Workmanship Warranty

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. warrants gutter installation workmanship for five (5) years from the date of completion.

This warranty covers defects resulting directly from improper installation performed by Guaranteed Gutters Inc.

The warranty applies only to the specific installation work performed and does not extend to unrelated sections of the gutter system.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Storms or severe weather

  • Structural movement

  • Lack of maintenance

  • Clogged gutters

  • Ice buildup or snow loads

  • Impact damage

  • Work performed by others


Pre-Existing Structural Conditions

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. is not responsible for pre-existing structural issues discovered during or after installation.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Rotten fascia boards

  • Roof deck damage

  • Improper roof edge installation

  • Missing drip edge

  • Structural movement

  • Hidden wood rot behind trim or fascia coverings

If these conditions are discovered, additional repair work may be recommended and priced separately.

Failure to repair underlying structural issues may affect gutter performance and void portions of the workmanship warranty related to those areas.


Winter & Ice Conditions

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Snow loads

  • Ice buildup

  • Ice dams

  • Falling ice from roof surfaces

Winter conditions can place excessive stress on gutters and roof edges, which may cause bending or separation from fascia boards.

Gutters are designed to manage rainwater drainage, not heavy ice or snow loads.


Limited Material Warranty – Aluminum Gutters, Soffit & Fascia

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. provides a limited material warranty on aluminum materials supplied by our company.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in aluminum materials under normal residential use.

This is a material-only warranty and does not include labor unless stated in writing.

If a covered defect is found, Guaranteed Gutters Inc. may repair or replace the defective material at its discretion.

Not covered:

  • Storm damage

  • Ice or snow loads

  • Structural movement

  • Lack of maintenance

  • Impact damage

  • Third-party work

  • Normal aging


Aluminum Finish Warranty (30 Year Limited)

Factory-finished aluminum materials carry a 30-Year Limited Finish Warranty covering defects such as:

  • Peeling

  • Flaking

  • Blistering

  • Excessive chalking

  • Excessive fading

Finish warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.


D) Guaranteed Gutter Guards

E) No Warranty: Roof, Chimney, and Animal Openings

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. does not warranty work performed on:

  • Roof repairs

  • Chimney repairs

  • Animal entry points or openings


F) Transferable Warranty

This warranty is transferable to a new homeowner.
Original invoice numbers must be provided.


10) Inspection Fee Credit Policy

Inspection fees are charged for on-site evaluations conducted to assess specific problem areas and provide accurate recommendations.

If you proceed with the recommended repair or installation, the inspection fee will be credited toward that project only.

Inspection credits:

  • Apply only to the inspected issue

  • Do not transfer to unrelated work

  • Have no cash value

  • Are non-transferable

If no viable solution can be provided, the inspection fee will be waived.


11) Property Access

The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to work areas.

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. is not responsible for delays or incomplete services caused by:

  • Locked gates

  • Pets

  • Vehicles blocking access

  • Restricted work areas

  • Other property obstacles


12) Inspection Photos, Video, and Drone Use

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. may take photos, videos, or drone images during inspections or services to document conditions and provide visual explanations to customers.

These images may be used for:

  • Service documentation

  • Customer communication

  • Internal training

  • Educational purposes

No personal identifying information will be publicly disclosed without permission.


13) Neighboring Property & Debris Disclaimer

While every effort is made to perform services carefully, debris removal and gutter cleaning may result in small amounts of debris falling into landscaping or adjacent areas.

Guaranteed Gutters Inc. is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing property conditions

  • Debris falling into landscaping beds

  • Conditions on neighboring properties

  • Pre-existing damage to roofing, siding, or landscaping

Customers are encouraged to notify us of any sensitive landscaping or property conditions before service begins.
